A:Absolutely! We can provide for telephone or internet counseling as alternatives
Q:Do you accept insurance?
A:No, and this helps to keep our rates reasonable and not be confined to a certain number of meetings
Q:I live on a fixed income and am worried about paying for services.
A:We can work on a sliding scale and also accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover
Q:I have serious anxiety issues and was wondering how long I will need counseling.
A:We will work with you to create an individualized treatment plan altered at any time to suit your needs.
Q:I am not a religious person, but I need help with family issues...can you still counsel me?
A:Yes, at Alpha and Omega Counseling Center we believe in relationship not religion and accept human beings.
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
I have been under Mr Shafer's care since Dec 7, 2007 for severe emotional trauma caused by my loss of home, wife, and children, complicated by my physical incapabilities due to a work related accident.
It has been my experience that Mr Shafer has taken a very personal interest in my case and in these months has allowed me to understand that no matter how severe my problem, it is a temporary one and that focusing on solutions is the best road to recovery.
He eased my transition to relocate to Puerto Rico by personally initiating the necessary actions needed to transport my dog, car, plane tickets etc., and for this I am eternally grateful. As you can imagine he became more than a therapist, I am proud to consider him a good friend.

I would like to take this
opportunity to not only thank but to praise Mr .Shaffer, not
only for setting me on the right path to healing but for saving
my marriage. He showed us how just a little bit of patience and
tolerance can go a long way. He as taught us that commutation is the key to our happiness and for that I
will always be indebted to him. I first went to him alone and then
had my husband join us. Together the three of us have found a way
for my husband and I to treat each other with respect,honor and dignity.
And because of that we just celebrated our 9th anniversary. So
thank you Steve and may God bless you always. (p.s. when the road
gets a little to bumpy for me I still go see Steve for a tune up)

Hi, my name is Robert and I was sent to
Steve for counseling in order to get back my licence,due to an
unfortunate mishap with drinking and driving. Although I was very unwilling to go because "what
could he tell me that I don't already know". I was quite
pleasantly surprised at what I learned. I truly enjoyed my secessions
with him and what started out as a chore to go there, I soon found
myself looking forward to going. My state time with Steve is up but
I still like to check in every once and a while just to stay in line.
I feel because of him I have a different outlook on life. Things
in general have gotten much better. , my self esteem, and character
is in a much better place now. So thanks Steve.
